It was a cold Sunday night in late-January of 1995 around 1:00 am. My husband had gone to bed, and the house was quiet. I stayed up to finish reading my book. As I sat in the corner of my big plaid three cushioned couch reading; suddenly, my kitchen floor squeaked as it always does when someone walks through. Immediately, that got my attention! Seconds later I sensed an overwhelming presence of someone walk up to the doorway leading into the living room and stop! I immediately looked up but saw no one. How strange, I thought? So, I continued to read. But soon it was impossible, because I could feel the presence getting stronger and moving closer. Seconds later, I felt a cool breeze blowing over the top of my head. While looking up and around trying to see where the breeze was coming from, I sensed the presence move to the couch right next to where my pen and pad lay! I looked in that direction. I didn't see anyone: All the while I thinking to myself, this is crazy, this can't be happening.

Then I heard what sounded like someone take a deep breath. I couldn't believe it!  The sigh sound came again, only this time deeper, as if really trying to get my attention. I closed the book! Trust me, whoever was there had every ounce of my attention. I am not sure why, but I felt a strong urge to pick my pin and pad up. You see, I usually keep a pen and pad nearby whenever I am reading because I like to take notes. The second I held the pen to the pad, to my surprise, the pen automatically began to move up and down and from side to side. What... I thought to myself. I could not believe it. Oh my God! Oh my God! It moved! It moved! This can't be happening, I thought.

However, I didn't feel any fear or danger, but my mind just couldn't process what was happening. I knew it was real! Yet I just couldn't understand it. So, I quickly threw the pen aside, balled up the paper, threw it in the trash, went to bed pulling the covers over my head: thinking to myself, who is here? What is going on? 

Amazingly, the next morning, Monday, I was watching a television show called The Other Side, hosted by Dr. Will Miller. Some of you may remember that show.   In any event, the show basically included guests who believed in angels, the unseen or the spirit world beyond. James Van Praagh appeared on the show as a regular. He seemed to have brought comfort to those who had lost their loved ones. However, the guest that morning was talking about "How to tell if your angel is with you." You had to write a question on a piece of paper, then wait for the answer. So, I hurriedly took that piece of paper from the trash, unbaled it, and got my pen and held it to the paper as I asked the question, "Who is in this house?" That's when the automatic writing begins and lasted for three months. The pen wrote, "Will" who be my brother but passed in 1990. He reveals to me that our mom was sick and directed me to go home because she was going to die! I was stunned! I thought, what in the world! I was trying to understand how is this possible. I kept thinking is this really happening. I was amazed, dazed and stunned at the same time because I knew this was real, but my mind just couldn't comprehend it!

Making a long story short, by now I could actually feel that the presence was indeed my brother's spirit. He was tall and strong, always spiritual minded, and I could feel myself walking like him. We were pretty close and always talked about God before he passed. Making a long story shorter, I ended up driving all Thursday night over 800 miles in 14 hours to Emerson Arkansas to mom's house. When I arrived that Friday afternoon, my mom opened the door and I was shocked to see her looking so sick and weak: her face withered, her mouth drooped; she was slightly bent over in pain looking as though she was barely holding on by a thin thread. She raised her head slowly looking up at me and said in a weak and faint voice, “Oh, Esther, I’ve been praying for you to come. In any case, God/ the spirit. used me to lay hands on my mother and heal her. Mind you, I was still a bit shocked and amazed with all that was happening with me. But I knew it was all real. I also felt and knew God was in the mix of it all, because I had a kind of peace within, and no fear!

I am so sorry, but I have to make a long story even shorter, because I can't tell the whole story here because it's much too long and will take too much time. But later that same day, that experience was followed by a Powerful Supernatural Encounter with the Living God in my mother's kitchen.
